【Product Introduction】
One-component silicone structural sealant is not affected by sunlight, rain, wind and snow, or extreme high and low temperatures. Its unique weather resistance ensures that even when exposed to harsh weather conditions, it remains essentially unchanged after complete curing. The original design performance of the interface will not undergo significant changes due to aging and exposure to the atmosphere, and the sealant still has water resistance and weather resistance. The cured sealant remains elastic within the temperature range of -60℃ to 180℃, without becoming brittle, cracking or tearing.
One-component silicone structural sealant is compatible with most reflective glass and insulating glass.

【Compatibility test】
◆The incompatibility of materials can cause silicone sealant to discolor or even lose its adhesion. To prevent such problems and ensure the compatibility of materials with silicone sealant, our company also conducts compatibility tests on the assembly auxiliary materials provided by customers (such as spacers, pressure strips, and double-sided tape strips, etc.) with our silicone sealant products.

【Application method】
【Surface cleaning】
Remove all impurities and contaminants such as grease, dust, water stains, frost, surface dirt, old sealant, assembly accessories and protective coatings remaining at the joints and assembly parts.
【Primer】
Generally, no primer is required when using OM901 one-component structural sealant. If the adhesion test indicates that a primer is required, apply a thin layer of the primer to the interface surface with a clean, non-lint cloth before injecting the adhesive and let it dry. Before injecting the glue, corresponding tests must be conducted to determine whether a primer is needed.
【Gasket material】
Open-cell polyurethane foam, closed-cell polyethylene foam or non-venting polyolefin materials are recommended padding materials. As for shallower joints that cannot accommodate foam rods, polyethylene tape can be used as a substitute.
【Masking and correction】
The areas near the seams need to be covered to ensure that the appearance of the sealed parts is perfect and neat. Under no circumstances should the masking tape come into contact with the surface of the substrate that is about to be coated with adhesive. After the finishing work is completed, the masking tape should be removed immediately.
【Injection of glue】
Continuously squeeze in and fill the interface with OM901 one-component structural sealant. Press the sealant flat onto the gasket material and the interface surface with appropriate force. The finishing process must be carried out in one go after the injection of the sealant is completed and before the sealant surface forms a skin. It is recommended to use convex shapes or suitable tools to smooth out the rubber surface. Do not use soap mixed with water as auxiliary materials during the smoothing process. After the repair is completed, immediately remove the covering tape. On the glass assembly, the sealant injected into the bottom interface needs to be trimmed into a bevel to prevent water accumulation. Even when the outdoor temperature drops to -25℃, the OM901 one-component structural sealant can still be extruded and applied to clean, dry and frost-free surfaces.
Uncured sealant must never come into contact with non-abrasive surfaces, such as polished marble, metal or glass surfaces, as excess sealant cannot be completely removed with organic or chlorinated solvents. Therefore, these surfaces must be covered. Or be extra careful when injecting the sealant to prevent it from coming into contact with these surfaces. Once the uncured sealant comes into contact with these surfaces, it will leave a film on them, thus affecting the unique aesthetic appearance of the substrate. If the uncured sealant comes into contact with the adjacent surface of the interface, it must be removed with toluene, xylene or methyl ethyl ketone solvents before the sealant has cured. When flammable solvents are used, specific precautions should be followed.
