OM903 Silicone stone weather resistant sealant is a high modulus, one component elastic sealant designed for waterproof joints of sensitive natural stone, glass and metal panels requiring a clean building appearance. It solidifies after contacting the moisture in the atmosphere to form an elastic sealant, which has durable and weather-resistant sealing performance. It can form a good bond with most building materials and provide excellent weather-resistant sealing performance.

Application method:

Surface cleaning

Remove all impurities and contaminants such as grease, dust, water stains, frost, surface stains, old sealant, assembly accessories and protective coatings remaining in joints and assembly depressions.

Non-porous materials (such as metal and glass) must be cleaned with solvent according to the "double cloth wiping method" to glue the surface. In all cases, the solvent must be wiped with a clean, lint-free white cloth. Do not treat with detergent or soapy water.

Multi-pass materials must be ground, sawn, washed (with water, etc.), mechanical grinding or a combination of the above methods to clean the surface to glue, be sure to apply sealant surface thoroughly clean and dry. Dust and loose particles and other materials should be blown off with oil-free compressed air or vacuumed with dust.

Apply primer

Primer is usually not required when using OM903 silicone stone weatherproof sealant. However, a bonding test must be carried out to determine whether a primer is required. Such as the test to determine the need for primer, before glue to pour the primer to a piece of velvet white cloth will be coated to the surface of the joint to glue to a thin layer, timely air dry.

Open-cell polyurethane foam rod, closed-cell polyethylene and non-vented polyolefin materials are recommended gaskets. For shallower joints, polyethylene tape is recommended to prevent bonding on three sides.

Substrate material

The part near the joint should be covered to ensure that the working line is neat. Never allow the masking tape to come into contact with the clean surface on which the adhesive will be applied. After gluing is completed, the sealant must be trimmed immediately before crusting. After finishing, the masking tape should be removed immediately.

Gluing method

Install appropriate gasket material, adhesive barrier or tape as required.

OM903 silicone stone weatherproof sealant is continuously squeezed into and filled with joints. When the sealant surface is not yet coated, the sealant is compacting in the gasket material and the joint surface with appropriate force. It is recommended to use convex tools to trim the rubber surface into a concave shape, and do not use soap or water as auxiliary materials for dressing. Remove masking tape immediately after finishing.

Uncured silicone sealant should be careful not to splash onto non-abrasive surfaces, such as polished granite or other natural stone, because these wet silicone sealant cannot be completely removed with organic or oxidizing solvents, so these surfaces must be shielded, or extra care should be taken to prevent sealant contact with these surfaces when gluing. Once the uncured sealant touches these surfaces, it leaves a thin film on the surface that can be used

Operation precautions:

Storage and expiration date:

In good condition, the product can be stored in a cool, ventilated and dry place for 12 months before the "expiration date" of the product packaging.

This product is not approved for use as a structural adhesive and has not been tested or stated for medical or medicinal use.

This product is not suitable for:

A seam or area of excessive friction in groundwater

Prolonged immersion in water

May ooze oil, plasticizer, solvent on the surface of building materials, or part of vulcanized rubber rubber gasket or tape

A frosted or damp surface

The place where the air is completely out of reach when curing (the sealant needs water curing)
