【Product Introduction】

Two-component neutral, high-modulus silicone elastomer sealant can rapidly crosslink to form a permanent elastomer at room temperature. It has good adhesion to most substrates, including coated glass, colored glazed glass, large plate glass, home decoration glass, large plate engineering glass, etc. It causes no pollution or corrosion to the adhered substrate and has excellent stability in a working environment ranging from -60 degrees to 180 degrees.

【Product Description】

It is a two-component silicone insulating glass sealant, mainly used for sealing and bonding glass, metal and other components. Neutral alcohol-removing type, cures at room temperature and releases a small amount of alcohol-forming gas.


【Relevant standards】

It can meet the Chinese standards GB/T29755 and JG/T471. It has a low water vapor transmission rate and good adhesion, thus ensuring a longer service life of the sealant.


【Usage method】

It has excellent adhesion to most coated and uncoated glasses, metal spacer aluminum strips, large home decoration glasses, etc. without the need for primer. To ensure the quality of the project, it is recommended that compatibility and adhesion tests be conducted in advance before the start of each project.


【Mixing Ratio】

To achieve better physical properties, it is recommended that the base adhesive and curing agent be mixed in a completely sealed stirring system. An automatic gluing machine can be selected. Do not use hands or portable stirrers, as air is easily introduced during the mixing process, which may affect the physical properties of the sealant after curing. To achieve the best sealant performance, the ratio of base adhesive to curing agent should be mixed in a mass ratio of 12:1 or an equivalent volume ratio of 8.0:1. Under this mixing ratio, the construction period of the sealant should be 30 to 50 minutes, and the surface drying time should be within 2 hours. The mixing ratio can be adjusted within a small range, but the mass ratio is best within the range of 11:1 to 14:1. It is recommended to stir the curing agent evenly before use. As the curing agent is prone to react with moisture in the air, it should not be exposed to the air for a long time.


【Preparatory work】

Remove dirt from the surface of the substrate, such as grease, oil, dust, water, frost, old sealant, glass compounds, protective coatings, etc. Metal, glass and plastic surfaces should be cleaned by mechanical means or solvents. Select a clean, lint-free white cloth to wipe the surface of the substrate with the solvent, and then use another dry, clean and lint-free white cloth to wipe it clean.


【Primer】

Generally, no primer is required. Before use, conduct a compatibility test. Whether to use the primer will be determined based on the results of the compatibility or adhesion test.


【Protection and construction】

To ensure a neat and tidy appearance, during construction, protective tape should be used to cover the areas adjacent to the seams. The protective tape is not allowed to come into contact with the gluing surface, that is, the area where the silicone sealant will adhere. The protective tape should be removed immediately after the gluing process is completed.


【Equipment cleaning】

After the gluing is completed, the gluing machine pipeline must be rinsed with base glue or cleaned with a solvent. If the cured sealant already exists inside the equipment, a suitable solvent should be selected for immediate cleaning to ensure that the surface of the pipeline is clean after cleaning.


【Repair】 Precautions

If the sealant is found to be damaged, a clean knife should be used to remove the damaged sealant and reapply it.
